Artist Statement
Moments quickly pass, without so much a second glance. Later, I come to realize why I remember some and forget so many.
Presented are just some of the remembered.
Some of these instances may have shown me not what I am, rather, what I am definitely not. However, each one has certainly taught me something about myself and has in one way or another, dictated the decisions I’ve made and influenced my way of thinking.
Artist Biography
Krystel’s childhood dream job had always been to become an artist. However, while growing up, waves of doubt and insecurity had pushed her far away from art as a whole. In the summer of 2008, Krystel’s participation in Kapisanan Philippine Centre’s pilot program “CLUTCH” enabled her to open herself back to creating and at the same time, become more in touch with her roots. Now, you can find Krystel doodling as a means of procrastination during her studies at Humber College, while selling her doodles on the side, in the form of greeting cards, postcards and stationery.
