From jeepney to sail boat, fashion socialites, philanthropists, and the Toronto Fil-Can community are closing the divide between Canada and the Philippines at the upcoming first ever Canada Philippine Fashion Week in Toronto!

KAPISANAN is proud to co-present the Canadian Philippine Fashion Week opening night party held at Lexus Downtown showroom. KAPISANAN will unveil a sneak preview of VINTA’s 5 piece ready-to-wear Filipiñana collection to fashion luminaries, and celebrity invite-only guests in June.  How fitting that it coincides with Philippines Independence Day!

VINTA, made exclusively for and by KAPISANAN is our social enterprise initiative.  The limited edition fashion line is designed in Toronto and manufactured in the Philippines. The collection includes chic, modern barongs and ternos.  VINTA continues the legacy of Filipino Tradition Craft traditions into the world of contemporary design, while elevating the Philippines and Filipinos around the world through exchange, exploration, and excellence.

In this week long fashion forward event, Canada Philippine Fashion Week aims to bridge the gap between the Philippines and Canada by celebrating and showcasing the talent of Filipinos from Canada and the Philippines in the best in haute couture, style, innovation, culture and creativity.

Events include, “An Evening with Jose Rizal” – a tribute to Jose Rizal through fashion, film and exhibit at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Theatre and Canada Philippine Fashion Week Gala Premiere: Philippine Fashion’s Biggest Night at Roy Thompson Hall that will sure send the glitterati and fashionistas a buzz.

Proceeds go to the Kol Hope Foundation committed to helping the quality of life for children of the Philippines and Canada.

Be sure check out Canada Philippine Fashion Week’s exciting events that are open to the public!
