Make your Christmas bright, Filipino-style!

The malls are a little merrier now that Halloween is over. Tinsel, giant snowflakes, shiny baubles and even light shows have quickly invaded shopping centres, reminding us that one of the year’s biggest celebrations is just around the corner.

Follow suit by decorating your home with holiday cheer! Join Kapisanan as we get into the spirit of Christmas by hosting a parol making workshop. Materials will be provided, and at the end of the day, take home your handmade creation!

Drop by our Kensington home on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and learn how to make this traditional, star-shaped Christmas lantern with artist Tim Manalo. Don’t miss out on a fun, creative time with friends, family, and food! Light snacks will be provided to fuel your artistic engines.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. Guest artist, Kristina Guison, will be facilitating a stamping activity for the youngsters. This year, send your loved ones greeting cards handmade by your kids!

We hope to see you there!

A suggested $5 donation will go toward covering the cost of materials.
