With this short documentary, a chorus of characters takes us through the rise and fall of an island in the Philippines and its sugarcane industry. Stunning images paint a portrait of a charming place struggling with its past and trying to move into the future.

Some of you may have heard of this brilliant director from his multiple international award winning debut film, Pagdadalaga Ni Maximo Oliveros (The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros).
Busong is his third film, which is the first of a trilogy, and it's screening in Toronto as part of ImagineNative Film + Media Arts Festival.
