Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts & Culture proudly brings Carlos Celdran from Manila to Toronto!
In partnership with the Harbourfront Centre, Carlos will be holding his Intramuros tour: If These Walls Could Talk on May 28 and 29. The tour is originally held in Intramuros, the historical walled city of Manila, but for this run, it will be held at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre! Another performance that Carlos is doing is the North American premiere of Living La Vida Imelda at Twist Gallery from June 2-5! It's definitely going to be a busy month ahead!
That said, we're looking for volunteers on board for this amazing opportunity to showcase the rich history of Manila! Volunteers will be assigned to promote the shows as part of a street team, handle props and other surprises during the tours, help with set-up and tear-down, and many more. Feel free to bring your friends who are also interested in volunteering!
We'd love to meet you on Wednesday, May 11 for a Volunteer Orientation. Rehearsals for the Intramuros show will be on May 23 and 24, and walk-through at Harbourfront is on May 25. We would also need help the following week (first week of June) for the Imelda tours.
Volunteering to fill your community service hours for school? KAPISANAN can sign off on community volunteer hours, should any high school students need it as a requirement for graduation. We will also track volunteer hours and offer references for completed volunteer work.
