Filipino-Canadian Playwright Byron Abalos is about to mount his play Brown Balls beginning next week! Other notable Filipino-Canadians involved in this project are producer Renna Reddie (from our community partner, Carlos Bulosan Theatre), and Dora-nominated sound designer Romeo Candido (from Santa Guerilla).

Presented by fu-GEN Asian Canadian Theatre Company, Brown Balls talks about the experience of Asian-Canadian men - not just Filipinos - in North America. It's about gender, race, power and hegemony.

Check out the world premiere of Brown Balls at the Factory Studio, May 3rd to 15th. More info can be found on fu-GEN's blog, and their Facebook event page.
