The Scene: 3rd Transitio Manila 1945

This Saturday, March 5th, to mark the 66th Anniversary of the Battle of Manila, Intramuros Administration and Carlos Celdran will present the 3rd TRANSITIO MANILA 1945. This art event hopes to become an annual commemoration/memorial where we as Manileños may reflect upon the passing of this event in our history.

KARP Artists and current resident artists at Carlos Celdran's the Living Room, Kristina Guison and Eric Quebral, will represent KAPISANAN and Toronto as they unveil their artwork specially made for the event. Kristina and Eric are part of the art exhibit at Fort Santiago, along with local Manila artists Denis Lagdameo, Reg Yuson, Tad Ermitano, Lirio Salvador & Kawayan de Guia.

What's on the line-up?

  • A sunset tour of Intramuros starting at 4:30pm at Plaza Roma in front of Manila Cathedral.
  • Followed by art installations and performances at Fort Santiago at 6:00pm.
  • The evening will be highlighted by the release of spirit balloons by the gates of Fort Santiago (as seen in the video above).
