"Flippin' Funny": Filipino Stand-up Comedy Showcase

"FLIPPIN’ FUNNY" Toronto’s First All-Filipino stand-up comedy showcase Saturday August 28, 2010 8 p.m.

The most multicultural city in the world will experience its very own ‘comedy first’ this summer as it hosts Flippin’ Funny, an all-Filipino comedy showcase. Flippin' Funny will bring together the funniest Filipino comedians across North America at The Courthouse (57 Adelaide St. E).

Filipinos are the now fourth largest visible minority in the GTA. Many have made their mark in arts and cultural platforms around the city and even representin' at Kapisanan! This summer, expect another mark to be made with a laugh or two.

Whether you were born here or immigrated from the Motherland, get ready to be entertained by a hilarious Filipino line-up:

Ron Josol – Toronto (Just for Laughs) Kevin Camia - San Francisco (Comedy Central's Live at Gotham) Joey Guila – San Francisco (P.Diddy's Bad Boy of Comedy) Keith Pedro – Toronto (Yuk Yuk's)

The show will be hosted by Neil Bansil (creator and producer of Toronto's The Most RACES Show on Earth!) and feature the Filipino dance crew C2 Genesys and music by DJ J-Class.
